And yes, you have probably guessed that they are a popular gift choice. I mean, if it was your paper (first) anniversary, and you had to find a paper present, and you know your wife likes jewelry, wouldn’t “Wife” be a cool pair of earrings for her?  Especially when you know you can get them in her favorite color. And that they’re comfortable and kind of fun too 🙂 Okay, bijin – which means beautiful woman, or hot babe – that’s pretty popular too 😉 Okay, they’re not really puppies anymore. But to us they’re still puppies. And I haven’t talked about them in a while, so I figure I can. Just once in a while.  We have a pool. Yes, we are very fortunate. It needs a ton of work, we were barely able to keep it open this year, but hey, in Kansas City summer, it’s pretty wonderful. And the pups, of course, think it’s Their Place. Chasing the (tennis) balls in the pool? The perfect thing to do in the summer. It’s getting chilly and we’ll close the pool soon. Don’t know if we’ll be able to keep it going next year. But, well, we’ll try, yknow? I love the contrast – a soft grey tone (or color of your choice) and a delicate shape. And the kanji says Abunai, or Dangerous 😉  Sweaters are essential pieces in our winter wardrobes from the matching gear website https://matchinggear.com/. There are several ones to choose from: v-necks, turtlenecks, mock necks and boatnecks, just to name a few. Wearing jewelry with your outfits make them look complete. Our outfits just wouldn’t be the same without jewelry! With all the different types of sweaters you can wear, which jewelry looks best with them? You can wear several types of necklaces with a boatneck sweater, like a statement necklace, single layer necklace or even a choker. Because the neckline comes up to the neck, but is still open, a multi-layer necklace looks beautiful with this type of sweater. The gray color of this boatneck sweater and the silver tone of this mother of pearl and silver “Aurelia” necklace looks great together. The kanji says Abunai: dangerous 😉 Recently I found a super example of a garland or paper chain you can make:  I found it at Decoist – there were no instructions that I could find, but we don’t need them. Cut strips of a similar size (from recycled paper, of course) – glue one in an “O” shape to make your first link. Slip the next strip through the loop to make the next link in the chain. Repeat, a lot 🙂 The beautiful thing about this idea is that you can use any colors you like. Make Christmas garlands. Use all white to make wedding garlands. Use the colors in your daughter’s room to make changeable, no-cost or low-cost curtains! This is really DIY at its finest. Totally customizeable, practically free, and you can use recycled paper. And it’s a great craft to make with your kids. If they’re little you want to supervise, because scissors and glue. But hey, sharing, and fun. Win! PS Plus – so cute! win-win! These were made as a special request for a customer – and I think they turned out well!  The kanji “Hime” translates as “Princess”, which you can imagine is kind of popular with girls.
